A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO APPROVE
REMOVAL OF EXISTING BALL NETTING AND
INSTALLATION OF NEW BALL NETTING FOR TWO
FIELDS AT TAMARAC PARK, LOCATED AT 7501 N.
UNIVERSITY DRIVE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $9,940.00; AND TO INSTALL NEW BALL
NETTING TO REPLACE STORM DAMAGED NETTING
FOR ONE FIELD AT THE TAMARAC SPORTS
COMPLEX, LOCATED AT 9901 NW 77T" STREET, IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $4,000.00, BY
FLORIDA ELECTRIC SERVICE COMPANY, INC.,
UTILIZING CITY OF CORAL SPRINGS, FLORIDA RFP
#96-B-045, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$13,940.00, APPROVING FUNDING FROM THE
APPROPRIATE PARKS AND RECREATION
OPERATING ACCOUNT, PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, to meet standards for safe baseball playing, the City of Tamarac,
Florida, is replacing existing ball barrier netting with new ball netting for two baseball
fields at Tamarac Park, located at 7501 N. University Drive, and replacing storm
damaged netting with new netting for one baseball field at the Tamarac Sports
Complex, located at 9901 NW 77t' Street, and
WHEREAS, Florida Electric Service Company, Inc. has agreed to remove
existing ball barrier netting and install new netting for two baseball fields at Tamarac
Park in an amount not to exceed $9,940.00, and replace storm damaged netting with
new netting for one baseball field at Tamarac Sports Complex, for an amount not to
exceed $4,000.00, in conjunction with City of Coral Springs, Florida RFP #96-B-045
(hereto attached as Exhibit 1), for a total amount not to exceed $13,940.00; and

Section 2: Appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to approve the
removal of existing ball netting and installation of new ball netting for two baseball
fields at Tamarac Park, and installation of new ball netting to replace storm damaged
ball netting with new netting for one baseball field at the Tamarac Sports Complex,
by Florida Electric Service Company, in an amount not to exceed $13,940.00; and
Section 3: Appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to approve
Florida Electric Service Company, Inc., to remove existing ball netting and install
new netting for two fields at Tamarac Park, and install new netting to replace storm
damaged netting for one field at the Tamarac Sports Complex, utilizing the City of
Coral Springs RFP #96-B-045, for an amount not to exceed $13,940.00; and
Section 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part
or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.

Dear Lance:
Florida Electric Service Co., Inc. Submits our not to exceed price of $9,940.00 to install
9375 square feet of ball barrier netting on existing concrete support poles at the above
referenced project. This is the price for the new nets. This price includes removal of
the old netting, all new cable, clamps and hog rings necessary to complete this work.
The City of Tamarac will supply all nets.
We would also wish to submit our not to exceed price of $4,000.00 to install 6250
square feet of ball barrier netting on existing concrete support poles at the above
referenced project to replace the storm damaged netting. This price includes new
cable, clamps and hog rings necessary to complete this work. The City of Tamarac will
supply all nets.
We will invoice this work on a time and material basis accordinato our existing contract
with the Cify of Coral Springs not to exceed the above quoted prices.

Electrical contractor - sports Field Lighting, to Florida Electric
Service company, Inc., whose proposal wax determined to be in tho

period of two (2) years with options to renew for two (2)
additional two (2) year periods for a cumulative total, of siX (6)
years. The commencement of this contract is set to begin March
16th, 1996.

" All equipment charges are portal to portal. Equipment that can not be driven to the job
site nney require a transportation fee. Our normal working hours are Monday through
Friday, 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M, with one half hour for lunch. Special starting times and
working hours are available. Premium Time is at time-and-one-helf (for LABOR only) after
eight hours daily, while Sundays and holidays are calculated at double time. All equip-
ment is owned and operated by Florida Electric Service Co., Inc, and must be rented with
one of our operators.
