R-98-254 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPOINTING NINE (9) REGULAR MEMBERS AND TWO (2) ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS COMMITTEE; APPOINTING A CHAIRPERSON OF THIS COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission is desirous of appointing nine (9) regular members and two (2) alternate members to the Consumer Affairs Committee; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk and Assistant to the City Manager recommend approval; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to appoint members to the Consumer Affairs Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: The foregoing AWHEREAS_ clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. Reso. #8217 7/20/98 Rev. #1 10/07/98 SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Code, the following persons are HEREBY APPOINTED as regular members of the Consumer Affairs Committee for terms beginning June 1, 1998 and expiring June 1, 1999, or until such time as reappointments are made: Myriam Chance Irving R. Cooper Jerome Finnk Arnie Glass Faye Koch Barry Miller Winifred Ostrum Adelyne B. Rubinstein Herbert Schaefer SECTION 3: That the following persons are HEREBY APPOINTED as alternate members of the Consumer Affairs Committee for terms beginning June 1, 1998 and expiring June 1, 1999, or until such time as reappointments are made: Clifford Kander Arthur Kaufer SECTION 4: That Faye Koch is HEREBY APPOINTED Chairperson of the Consumer Affairs Committee. SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
