CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-98 '� 7,7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING ALL SERVICE
REFUSE COMPANY, INC. TO INCREASE THE SINGLE
FAMILY SOLID WASTE COLLECTION RATE FROM $14.37
TO $14.60 PER MONTH AND THE COST OF CITY LOGO
BAGS FROM $1.12 TO $1.14 PER BAG, EFFECTIVE
OCTOBER 1, 1998; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac has a contract with All Service Refuse Company,
Inc. for collection and disposal of solid waste from single family residences within the City
of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, Article 3.5 of the contract between the City of Tamarac and All Service
Refuse Company, Inc., a copy of said contract being hereto attached as Exhibit "1", for
single family solid waste collection provides for an automatic rate increase based upon an
increase in the Consumer Price Index; and
WHEREAS, the consumer price index all urban consumers for the Miami area and
as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistic has increased by 1.6%; and
WHEREAS, based on the consumer price index increase All Service Refuse
Company, Inc. has requested an increase of from $14.37 to $14.60 per month for single
family solid waste collection and an increase of from $1.12 to $1.14 per City logo bag,
notice of said increases attached hereto as Exhibit "2"; and

WHEREAS, the City Manager, Public Works Director and Public Works Operations
Manager recommend approval of rate increases as requested by All Service Refuse
Company, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens
and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the single family solid rate increase from
$14.37 to $14.60 per month and an increase in City logo bags from $1.12 to $1.14,
increases shall be effective October 1, 1998.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The rate for providing single family solid waste service is HEREBY
increased from $14.37 to $14.60 per month, effective October 1, 1998.
SECTION 3: The cost of City logo bags is HEREBY increased from $1.12 to $1.14
per bag, effective October 1, 1998.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or

application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
