CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-98-�6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPROVING A
REQUEST FROM ST. MALACHY CATHOLIC CHURCH
TO WAIVE ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($1,400.00) OF THE TOTAL FEES WITH
THE BALANCE TO BE PAID IN FULL; FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THEIR SCHOOL EXTENSION;
PROVIDING FOR CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Building Department has received a request from St. Malachy
Catholic Church to waive all permit fees for the construction of their school extension;
(attached as Exhibit A); and
WHEREAS, St. Malachy Church is a non-profit organization and requests waiver
of permit fees; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official recommends approval to waive one thousand four
hundred dollars ($1,400.00) of the total fees with the balance to be paid in full; and
WHEREAS, the request from St. Malachy Catholic Church to waive permit fees is
attached hereto as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, The City Commission is desirous to assist the construction of new
schools in the City of Tamarac;
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interests of the citizens
and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve this request for waiver of permit fees.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of the Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the request to waive one thousand four hundred dollars

($1,400.00) of the total fees with the balance to be paid in full is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 3: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective imme 0ately upon ,adoption.

I am writing you to request that you waive all permit fees for the construction. of our school
extension.
As you know, we are a non piolit erganization, not fim_&d. by the county, state, or federal
govern;laent. It would be a big help not to have these additional expenses when building the
addition to our schoul.
