CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-98-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING ITS APPRECIATION
TO THE REDISTRICTING COMMITTEE FOR THEIR
OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION; DISCHARGING THE
REDISTRICTING COMMITTEE IN CONFORMANCE WITH
SECTION 6.03 OF THE CITY CHARTER; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a Redistricting Committee was appointed on March 26, 1997, as
required by Section 6.03 of the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, the Acting City Clerk recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the term of the Redistricting Committee ends at the last City
Commission meeting prior to the next municipal election day as required by Section
6.03 of the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to discharge
the Redistricting Committee in accordance with Section 6.03 of the City Charter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
resolution upon adoption hereof.

SECTION 2: That the City Commission expresses its appreciation to the
Redistricting Committee for their outstanding contribution to the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 3: That the Redistricting Committee is hereby discharged in
conformance with Section 6.03 of the City Charter.
SECTION 4: That the Redistricting Report, which is advisory to the City
Commission, was presented to the City Commission on June 16, 1997, and is now
on file in the office of the City Clerk for viewing and purchase by the public.
SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part
or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.

SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
