CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-98- 74
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF THE MARCH 10, 1998 GENERAL
ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD DISTRICT 2
AND DISTRICT 4 POSITIONS; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a General Election was scheduled to be held on March 10, 1998,
wherein the positions of the Charter Board Districts 2 and 4 for two-year terms were to
be filled; and
WHEREAS, the candidate for Charter Board District 2 ran unopposed and there
were no qualified candidates for the Charter Board District 4 position.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
SECTION 2: Harvey Kram, having run unopposed for the office of Charter Board
representative from District 2, has been duly elected to that position for a term of two (2)
years.

SECTION 3: That Harvey Kram shall take office in accordance with the
provisions of Section 2-27 of the City Code, effective 110:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 17,
W01-01-11
SECTION 4: That the position of Charter Board representative from District 4
shall be filled in accordance with City Charter Section 8.01 (d).

SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 19 day of 1998.
