CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-96-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF FURNITURE
(CHAIRS AND TABLES) FOR THE CITY
TRAINING ROOM IN THE BSO FACILITY
FROM OFFICE PAVILION UTILIZING THE
BROWARD SCHOOL BOARD CONTRACT
NUMBER 95-0004H AT A COST OF $11,260.90
WITH FUNDING FROM THE GENERAL FUND;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City has created a training room in the BSO Facility to be used for
City training functions and meetings; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to furnish the training room with tables and chairs that
will provide for maximum flexibility to meet various training and meeting needs; and
WHEREAS, City Code Section, 6-155 allows the waiver of formal contract
procedures for all supplies, materials and equipment which are the subject of contracts
with other governmental agencies; and
WHEREAS, the furniture will be purchased from Office Pavilion under the terms and
conditions of the Broward School Board Contract Number 95-0004H; and
WHEREAS, the cost of the furniture $11,260.90 will be funded by the General
Fund; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager and the Interim
Purchasing Officer that the City purchase the furniture (tables and chairs) from Office
Pavilion; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
purchase of furniture (chairs and tables) from Office Pavilion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and is hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The acquisition of furniture (chairs and tables) for the City
training room in the BSO Facility at a cost of $11,260.90 is hereby approved to be
purchased from Office Pavilion utilizing Broward School Board Contract Number
95-0004H.
SECTION-3- Funding for this purchase was approved in the 1996 Budget
under the Office Space Accommodations account.
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications
of this Resolution.

SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
