CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-96--LVO
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A QUIT
CLAIM DEED TO TAMARAC LAKES SOUTH CIVIC
ASSOCIATION, INC. FOR THEIR RECREATION PARCELS;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac, Florida, is the named grantee in a certain recorded
but undelivered Warranty Deed dated January 23, 1967, and recorded in Official Records
Book 3564, at page 923; and
WHEREAS, one of the parcels included within that Deed is the recreation parcel
provided for the use of the residents of Tamarac Lakes South; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, adopted
Resolution 77-187 which rescinded and canceled an agreement which was the basis and
consideration for the above mentioned Warranty Deed which has never been delivered to
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been asked by Tamarac Lakes South Civic
Association, Inc. to take an action to clear the record title to the recreation parcel; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to authorize the

execution of a quit claim deed to respond to the petition of Tamarac Lakes South Civic
Association, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2L That the City Commission hereby quit claims any interest which
it may have in the recreation parcel at Tamarac Lakes South to Tamarac Lakes South Civic
Association, Inc., which recreation parcel is more particularly described as follows:
Parcel G in Block 15, Parcel R in Block 17, and Parcel P,
TAMARAC LAKES SOUTH, according to the Plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 62, Page 24, of the Public Records of
Broward County, Florida.
SECTION I That the appropriate officials of the City of Tamarac, Florida, are
hereby authorized to execute the quit claim deed on behalf of the City, (a copy of which is
attached as Exhibit "A").
SECTION 4-, All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or

application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION_This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.

requires.
W I T N E S S E T H:
That the said grantor, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten
Dollars ($10.00), in hand paid by the said grantee, the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged, does hereby remise, release and quit -claim unto the
grantee forever, all the right, title, interest, claim and demand which the
grantor has in and to the following described lot, piece or parcel of land,
situate, lying and being in the County of Broward, State of Florida, to -wit:

P, TAMARAC LAKES SOUTH, according to the Plat thereof,

THIS QUIT CLAIM DEED IS GIVEN TO THE GRANTEE HEREIN IN ORDER TO TERMINATE
AND CANCEL ANY RIGHT THAT THE GRANTOR HEREIN MIGHT HAVE HAD UNDER THAT
RECORDED BUT UNDELIVERED WARRANTY DEED FROM TAMARAC ENTERPRISES, INC. TO THE
CITY OF TAMARAC DATED aANUARY 23, 1967, AND RECORDED IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS
OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, AT OFFICIAL RECORDS BOOK 3564, AT PAGE 923.
TO HAVE and
