CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-96- 5;2-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING A FOUR WEEK
CONSECUTIVE PERIOD (AUGUST 1-28, 1996) DURING
WHICH THE COMMISSION WILL NOT MEET IN 1996
PURSUANT TO SECTION 4.06 OF THE CITY CHARTER;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Tamarac, Florida provides that the City
Commission shall meet regularly at least twice a month, except during a four consecutive
week period to be determined by the City Commission no later than April 15th of each year;
and
WHEREAS, the City Charter requires the City Manager to submit to the City
Commission by July 30th of each year the proposed budget for the following fiscal year,
set a tentative tax millage, and submit same to the property appraiser by the end of July
according to "Truth in Millage" TRIM regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission prefers to start budget workshops during July; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the vacation schedule of the City
Commission be August 1-28, 1996; and
WHEREAS, in order to comply with the City Charter, the City Commission of the City
of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interests of the residents of the City of

Tamarac to approve the City Manager's recommendation to designate August 1-28, 1995
as the four consecutive week period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution
upon adoption hereof.
SECTION 2: That the City Commission hereby approves the City Manager's
recommendation.
SECTION 3: That pursuant to Tamarac City Charter, Section 4.06, the City
Commission hereby determines that the Commission will not meet during the four
consecutive week period of August 1-28, 1996.
SECTION 4s All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECIIQN 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
