R-96- 73 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE ESTIMATED REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1996 DUE TO A $98,399 REDUCTION IN THE SKATING ARENA/ASSOCIATED IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission on the 27th day of September, 1995, adopted Resolution No. R-95-217 approving the annual budget for fiscal year 1996; and WHEREAS, the City Commission on the 27th day of March, 1996, adopted Resolution No. R-96-68 amending the annual budget for fiscal year 1996; and WHEREAS, the City Commission, after a comprehensive review, has modified the Skating Arena/Associated Improvements Project; and WHEREAS, the amount appropriated to fund the Skating Arena/Associated Improvements Project exceeds the amount needed to fund the project by $98,399; and WHEREAS, the City Commission would like to reduce the appropriated funding to an amount in accordance with the amount needed to fund the project; and WHEREAS, these adjustments require amending the annual budget; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to amend the FY 96 Budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption hereof. 1 TEMP. RESO. # 7375 Revision #1 4/3/96 Revision #2 4/3/96 Section 2: The budget of the City of Tamarac is hereby amended as follows: the Skating Arena/Associated Improvements Project is reduced by $98,399 from a current funding level of $334,899 to a new funding level of $236,500; and this $98,399 previously appropriated is returned to General Fund fund balance. Section 3: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4: If any provision of this Resolution or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of this Resolution that can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this Resolution are declared to be severable.
