R-96- 93 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, CLARIFYING AND INCLUDING THE CITY ATTORNEY IN ALL RESOLUTIONS AUTHORIZING COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENTS FOR MANAGERIAL, SUPERVISORY AND CONFIDENTIAL NON -BARGAINING (EXECUTIVE, MANAGERIAL/PROFESSIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE) EMPLOYEES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Resolution No. R92-21 provides that the City Attorney shall receive all normal City benefits; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. R95-189 authorized cost of living/salary maintenance increases for all managerial, supervisory and confidential non -bargaining employees, effective October 1, 1995; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R92-21, the City Attorney receives all cost of living adjustments granted to employees of the City of Tamarac; and WHEREAS, the City's Finance Department needs clear direction from the City Commission to include the City Attorney in all salary maintenance/cost of living adjustments granted to non -bargaining unit employees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution. ,SECTION 2: The City Attorney is authorized to receive salary maintenance/cost of living adjustment increases granted to managerial, supervisory and confidential non -bargaining 1 Temp. Reso. # 7414 2 April 29, 1996 Rev. #1: April 29, 1996 (executive, managerial/profession and administrative) employees consistent with Resolution No. R95-189 and such other resolutions as may be approved by the City Commission of the City of Tamarac. SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
