A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
2 VEHICLES UTILIZING THE STATE OF FLORIDA 1994
VEHICLE BID #070-200-140 AWARDED TO MAROONE
CHEVROLET FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO CHEVROLET
CAVALIERS AT A COST OF $10,988 EACH BUDGETED
UNDER FLEET SERVICES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Maroone Chevrolet is offering for sale to the City of Tamarac, two
Chevrolet Cavaliers to be purchased under the terms and conditions of State of Florida Bid
#070-200-140 with the additional terms that a completed Purchase Order be delivered by
June 15, 1995 and that payment be made within seven (7) days of delivery; and
WHEREAS, City Code §6-155 allows the waiver of formal contract procedures for
all supplies, materials and equipment which are the subject of contracts with the State; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Fleet Services Coordinator and the
Purchasing Officer that the City purchase the 2 Chevrolet Cavaliers from Maroone
Chevrolet;
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
purchase of 2 vehicles utilizing the State of Florida 1995 Vehicle Bid #070-200-140 at a
cost of $10,988 each.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: The purchase of 2 vehicles at a cost of 10,988 each, IS HEREBY
APPROVED to be purchased from Maroone Chevrolet.
Section 3: Funding for this purchase was approved in the Mid -Year Budget under
Account 703-503-519-640 entitled, "Fleet Services, Vehicles."

Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
