CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF
$6,881.00 FROM THE "GENERAL FUND CONTINGENCY',
ACCOUNT NO. 001-872-588-975 TO "CITY HALL AIR
CONDITIONING', ACCOUNT NO. 001-888-519-61A TO
PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE AWARD OF BID NO. 95-07;
APPROVING THE AWARD OF BID NO. 95-07 ENTITLED
"CITY HALL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
IMPROVEMENTS" TO A.A. ADVANCE AIR, INC. OF
POMPANO BEACH, FLORIDA FOR $153,901.00;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac publicly advertised Bid No. 95-07 for construction
of improvements to the City Hall air conditioning system located at 7525 N.W. 88th
Avenue, Tamarac, Florida in the Sun -Sentinel on May 28 and June 4, 1995; and
WHEREAS, on June 19, 1995 the following four (4) bids were opened:
1. Americool A/C & Refrigeration, Inc. Bid Offer $158,950.00
2. Thermal Concepts, Inc. Bid Offer $241,000.00
3. A.A. Advance Air, Inc. Bid Offer $153,901.00
4. John J. Kirlin Mechanical Services, Inc. Bid Offer $154,568
WHEREAS, A.A. Advance Air, Inc. Submitted the lowest bid proposal at
$153,901.00; and

WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $6,881.00 need to be transferred from the
"General Fund Contingency", Account No. 001-872-588-975 to "City Hall Air
Conditioning", Account No. 001 -888-519-61 A, to fully fund the award of Bid No. 95-07;
and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Public Works Director and City
Engineer that the project be fully funded and that Bid No. 95-07 be awarded to the
lowest responsive and responsible bidder, A.A. Advance Air, Inc. of Pompano Beach,
Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
award of Bid No. 95-07 for the construction of City Hall Air Conditioning System
Improvements to A.A. Advance Air, Inc. for an amount of $153,901.00
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.

SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized to
approve a budget transfer of $6,881.00 from "General Fund Contingency", Account No.
001-872-588-975 to "City Hall Air Conditioning", Account No. 001 -888-519-61 A, to fully
fund this project.
SECTION 3: That the award of Bid No. 95-07 to A.A. Advance Air, Inc. Of
Pompano Beach, Florida is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 4: That the City Manager or his designee be authorized to
close the bid award including but not limited to making final payment and releasing
bonds when the work has been successfully completed within the terms and conditions
of the contract and within the bid price.
5 That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
S,IION 6 That if any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part of application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or
applications of this Resolution.

SECTION 7: That this Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
