RESOLUTION NO. R-95 -14 3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID NUMBER 95-05
ENTITLED "FIRE STATION #1, STANDING SEAM ROOF" TO
ROOFING CONCEPTS UNLIMITED/FL. INC. AT A TOTAL COST
OF $11,925.00 BUDGETED UNDER THE FIRE DEPARTMENT;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE QATE.
WHEREAS, the existing mansard roof at Fire Station #1 is in need of
replacement; and
WHEREAS, Bid #95-05 entitled "Fire Station #1, Standing Seam Roof' was
advertised in the Fort Lauderdale News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general
circulation in Broward County, Florida on Wednesday, May 3, and Saturday, May 13,
1995; and
WHEREAS, the Bid was opened on Wednesday, May 24, 1995; and
WHEREAS, Roofing Concepts Unlimited/FL. Inc. was the only bidder; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac, to award the
removal of the existing mansard roof and installation of a standing seam roof at Fire
Station #1 to Roofing Concepts Unlimited/FL. Inc.; and

WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Fire Chief and the Purchasing
Officer that the Request for Proposal for the standing seam roof be awarded to
Roofing Concepts Unlimited/FL. Inc..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
resolution.
Sectjncn 2: That the Request for Proposal of Roofing Concepts Unlimited/FL.
Inc. In the amount of Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty Five Dollars '111,925.00,
is HEREBY APPROVED.
Section 3: That the funds for the removal of the existing roof and installation
of the standing seam roof at Fire Station #1 are budgeted under the Fire Department.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

BONDING: A cash bid guaranty or approved bid bond of 5 % (percent) of bid quote
is required and shall be submitted with your Bid Proposal. Additional bonding may be
required in the Special Terms and Conditions of this invitation. The Bonding must be
executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida or secured
in a manner satisfactory to the City of Tamarac.
NOTE: To be considered eligible for award, one (1) ORIGINAL COPY OF THIS BID
PROPOSAL FORM must be submitted with the Bidders' proposal.
