A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA; APPROVING A WAIVER
TO THE SIGN CODE ORDINANCE REQUESTED BY
MEDICAP PHARMACY OF FLORIDA FOR A WRAP
AROUND BOX SIGN LOCATED ON 7450 W. McNAB
ROAD, (SOUTH ELEVATION, DRIVE-IN WINDOW) AT THE
UNIVERSITY COMMONS SHOPPING CENTER NEAR THE
INTERSECTION OF McNAB ROAD AND UNIVERSITY
DRIVE, PROVIDING FOR CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE:
WHEREAS, Medicap Pharmacy has requested a waiver from Code Chapter 18
governing signs to erect a wrap around box sign on 7450 W. McNab Road (South Elevation,
Drive-in window), at the University Commons Shopping Center near the intersection of McNab
Road and University Drive, said sign to be a wrap around box sign instead of individual letters
with a non -registered logo, 4 lines of copy, 4 colors; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official, reviewed said waiver and recommends approval for
the wrap around box sign and the non -registered logo; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida has the authority
pursuant to the Code Section 18-42 to grant waivers; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the
best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to grant this waiver.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of the Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the waiver to the Sign Code Chapter 18 requested by Medicap
Pharmacy, to erect a wrap around box sign on 7450 W. McNab Road (South Elevation, Drive-
in window), at the University Commons Shopping Center near the intersection of McNab Road
and University Drive, said sign to be a wrap around box sign instead of individual letters with
a non -registered logo, 4 lines of copy, 4 colors; is HEREBY APPROVED.

SECTION 3: Conditions of approval:
NONE-
SECMIQN 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
