A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
LABORATORY TESTING SERVICES UTILIZING THE TOWN
OF DAVIE BID NUMBER R-93-147 AT A MAXIMUM TOTAL
COST OF $15,000 WITH FUNDING FROM ACCOUNT
NUMBER 425-363-533-340, ENTITLED "OTHER
CONTRACTUAL SERVICES"; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Tamarac is required by the Florida Administrative Code 62-
550 and the Broward County Department of Natural Resource Protection to test the
untreated well water and potable drinking water; and
WHEREAS, it is more cost effective for some testing to be performed by a certified,
outside laboratory rather than the Water Treatment Plant laboratory; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved funding for laboratory testing services
in the FY96 budget in Account Number 425-363-533-340, entitled "Other Contractual
Services"; and
WHEREAS, Precision Environmental Laboratory allows the City of Tamarac to
utilize the Town of Davie Bid Number R-93-147; and

WHEREAS, the Utilities Director recommends the purchase of laboratory testing
services from Precision Environmental Laboratory; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve and the
purchase of laboratory testing services from Precision Environmental Laboratory.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
MQTION 1; The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
SECTION 2: The purchase of laboratory testing services at a maximum total
cost of $15,000 is hereby approved to be purchased from Precision Environmental
Laboratory utilizing the Town of Davie Bid Number R-93-147.
SECTION 3: The City Commission approved funding for laboratory testing
under Account No. 425-363-533-340, entitled "Other Contractual Services."
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any Court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining partitions or application
of this Resolution.
