CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R 95- C� 35
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AWARDING BID NUMBER 95-18
ENTITLED "FURNISH, DELIVER AND DISCHARGE OF
QUICKLIME," ISSUED ON BEHALF OF THE BROWARD
COUNTY COOPERATIVE TO CHEMICAL LIME COMPANY
OF ALABAMA, INC.; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, The City of Tamarac served as "lead agency" on the Broward County
Cooperative bid for the purchase of Quicklime. Twelve cities will utilize this bid to purchase
more than 30,000 tons of Quicklime; and
WHEREAS, Chemical Lime Company of Alabama, Incorporated is the lowest
responsible and responsive bidder offering Quicklime at $94.58 per ton; and
WHEREAS, It is the recommendation of the Utilities Director and the Purchasing
Officer that the bid be awarded to Chemical Lime Company of Alabama, Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to award Bid Number
95-18 entitled "Furnish, Deliver and Discharge Quicklime" to Chemical Lime Company of
Alabama, Incorporated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA-
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: Bid Number 95-18 for the purchase of Quicklime is HEREBY AWARDED
to Chemical Lime Company of Alabama, Incorporated.
Section 3: Funding for this purchase is budgeted under Account 425-363-533-527
entitled "Chemicals" at a total cost of $153,450.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith.are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.

Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
