R 95- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF NEC MICRCCOMPUTERS FROM GOVERNMENT COMPUTER SALES, INCORPORATED UTILIZING STATE OF FLORIDA BID NUMBER 250-040-96-1 WITH FUNDING BUDGETED UNDER VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS ACCOUNTS OBJECT CODE 645 ENTITLED "COMPUTER HARDWARE" AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF $51,000; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, Government Computer Sales is an authorized vendor of NEC computers listed under the State of Florida contract number 250-040-96-1; and WHEREAS, City Code §6-155 allows the waiver of formal contract procedures for all supplies, materials and equipment, which are the subject of contracts with the State; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the MIS Director and the Purchasing Officer that the City purchase NEC computers from Government Sales Incorporated; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the purchase of microcomputers from Government Sales Incorporated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution. ection 2• The purchase NEC microcomputers at an estimated cost of $51,000 IS HEREBY APPROVED to be purchased from Government Sales Incorporated utilizing State of Florida Contract Number 250-050-96-1. Section 3: Funding for this purchase is budgeted in various Department accounts under object code 645 entitled "Computer Hardware." ection 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this i7 11 Temp. R 95- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE AWARD OF BID 95-16 ENTITLED "PORTABLE VIDEO INSPECTION SYSTEM" TO THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, CUES INCORPORATED; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, A Portable Video Inspection System will allow the Wastewater Division to inspect and index infiltration from service laterals and will help abate unwanted wastewater charges; and WHEREAS, Bid number 95-16 was issued to obtain competitive pricing for a Portable Video Inspection System; and WHEREAS, Cues Incorporated submitted the low bid of $10,100.00 with an optional video titter system for $1,055.00 for a total of $11,155.00; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to award Bid 95-16 entitled "Portable Video Inspection System" to Cues Incorporated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution. Section 2: The award of Bid 95-16 to Cues Incorporated IS HEREBY APPROVED. Section 3: Funding for this purchase is available under account 425-367-535-643 entitled "Machinery and Equipment" for $11,155.00. Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
