RESOLUTION NO. R 9534

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO APPROVE THE
PURCHASE OF 4,850 TRIPLOID GRASS CARP FROM
FLORIDA FISH FARMS IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,005
UNDER THE TERMS OF BID #94-01 TITLED 'TRIPLOID
GRASS CARP" TO BE FUNDED FROM ACCOUNT
NUMBER 410-417-539-306, ENTITLED "SPECIAL
SUPPLIES/SERVICES," PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the vendor, Florida Fish Farms has agreed to extend the terms of Bid
#94-01 awarded by the City of Tamarac, February 23, 1994; and
WHEREAS, this purchase is funded from Account Number 410-417-539-306
entitled "Special Supplies/Services."
WHEREAS, in accordance with §6-149.5(a)-(b), the Public Works Director and
Staff recommend the purchase of 4,850 Triploid Grass Carp from Florida Fish Farms
under the terms of Bid #94-01.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
purchase of 4,850 Triploid Grass Carp from Florida Fish Farms under the terms of BID
#94-01; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the purchase of 4,850 Triploid Grass Carp from Florida Fish Farms
in the amount of $16,005 under existing Bid #94-01 is HEREBY APPROVED.

Section 3: That the Account Number 410417-539-306 entitled "Special
Supplies/Services," which has a budget of $24,400 approved by the City Commission on
September 28, 1994, shall be used to purchase the 4,850 Triploid Grass Carp.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
