RESOLUTION NO. R 95- 55
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
BASKETBALL COURT LIGHTING AND INSTALLATION
FROM FLORIDA ELECTRIC SERVICE CORPORATION
UTILIZING CITY OF CORAL SPRINGS BID #93068F FOR
$31,000:, APPROVING FUNDING FROM ACCOUNT 142-888-
572-63D ENTITLED "INSTALL LIGHTS-BASKETBALL-T27,"
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, City of Coral Springs, Florida Bid Number 93068F was awarded to
Florida Electric Service Corporation for sports field lighting, parking lot lighting and other
general municipal outdoor lighting; and
WHEREAS, Florida Electric Service Corporation has agreed to extent the terms of
this Bid to the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, City Code §6-154 allows the Purchasing Officer the authority to join
with other units of government in cooperative purchasing when the best interest of the City
would be served; and
WHEREAS, this purchase is being funded from Parks and Recreation Capital
Projects Account Number 142-888-572-63D entitled "Install Lights -Basketball T27"; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Parks & Recreation Operation Manager
and the Purchasing Officer that the purchase be awarded to Florida Electric Service
Corporation who will do the design and installation; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
purchase of Basketball Court Lighting Fixtures and Installation from Florida Electric Service
Corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirm ed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the purchase of Basketball Court Lighting Fixtures and Installation
at a total cost of $31,000 IS HEREBY APPROVED to be purchased from Florida Electric
Service Corporation.
Section 3: Funding for the purchase is budgeted under Parks and Recreation
Capital Projects Account 142-888-572-63D entitled "Install Lights -Basketball T27" at a total
cost of $31,000.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
�r igo 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
$fiction 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
