CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-95- .3
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF BROWARD
GOVERNMENTAL PURCHASING COOPERATIVE GROUP BID #94-
C-046F, CHLORINE. THE CHLORINE WILL BE PURCHASED
FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER 425-363-533-527, ENTITLED "GAS
CHLORINE AND GRANULAR CHLORINE, BUDGETED AT $24,300;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Broward Governmental Purchasing Cooperative Group has renewed
Bid #94-C-046F for the purchase of Chlorine awarded to Allied Universal Corporation for
one year; and commencing March 1, 1995 through February 28, 1996; and
WHEREAS, Allied Universal Corporation has offered an option to renew for one
additional year items 1, 2 and 4 at the same price, terms and conditions (see Exhibit A);
and
WHEREAS, City Code §6-154 allows the Purchasing Officer the authority to join
with other units of government in cooperative purchasing when the best interest of the City
would be served; and

WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Utilities Director and the Purchasing
Officer to purchase the Chlorine from Allied Universal Corporation utilizing Broward
Governmental Purchasing Cooperative Group Bid #94-C-046F.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to purchase Chlorine
from Allied Universal Corporation utilizing Broward Governmental Purchasing Cooperative
Group Bid #94-C-046F.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA-
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the renewal of Broward Governmental Purchasing Cooperative
Group Bid #94-C-046F at an estimated cost of $24,300 IS HEREBY approved.
Section 3: That Account Number 425-363-533-527 entitled, "Gas Chlorine and
Granular Chlorine" budgeted at $24,300 shall be used to purchase materials under the
Broward Governmental Purchasing Cooperative Group Bid #94-C-046F.

Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
