RESOLUTION NO. R-95-,iZ-_
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA,
CONFIRMING THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR,
JEFFREY MILLER, BY THE CITY MANAGER
TO PRESENT THE CITY'S APPLICATION FOR
TRANSPORTATION FUNDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF NW 67 STREET TO THE
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
TRANSPORTATION FUND COMMITTEE
MEETING, HELD IN TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA
ON MARCH 16, 1995 PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida has determined
the connector road (NW 67 Street) to be an important transportation project; and
WHEREAS, the connector road (NW 67 Street) will provide access from Nob Hill
Road to the ITW MIMA and ITW Loveshaw projects; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida has requested the
connector road (NW 67 Street) project to be considered for funding under the Economic
Development Transportation Fund, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac authorized the appropriate
City Officials to sign the application to the Economic Development Transportation Fund on
November 23, 1994; and

WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that the City needed to be
represented at the March 16, 1995, meeting of the State Economic Development
Transportation Fund Committee, which will consider the City's application for funding of
NW 67 Street; and
WHEREAS, the total cost for the Tallahassee trip is estimated to be Six -Hundred
Forty -One ($641.00) Dollars; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager hereby advises the City Commission that he sent the
Director of Community Development, Mr. Jeffrey L. Miller, to represent the City and
recommends approval of his action; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to authorize approval
of this recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and is hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The City Commission hereby approves the City Manager's
decision authorizing the Community Development Director, Jeffrey L. Miller, to travel to
Tallahassee and present the City of Tamarac's application to the Economic Development
Transportation Fund Committee.

SECTION_- All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTIQN 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTIQN This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
