CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-95-Sd
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, ;
AUTHORIZING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DIRECTOR JEFFREY L. MILLER TO ATTEND THE
1995 ANNUAL PLANNING CONFERENCE TO BE
HELD IN TORONTO, CANADA, APRIL 8-12, 1995,
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EI=FECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida encourages the
professional development of the City's employees; and
WHEREAS, the 1995 Annual Planning Conference is sponsored by the American
Planning Association; and
WHEREAS, Community Development Director Jeffrey L. Miller has requested
permission to attend; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of attending the 1995 Planning Conference is estimated
to be One -Thousand Five -Hundred ($1,500.00) Dollars; and
WHEREAS, the cost of attendance at this conference was included and approved
in the FY/95 Budget of the Community Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager hereby recommends approval; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to authorize approval
of this request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and is hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: The Community Development Director is authorized to attend
the 1995 Planning Conference to be held in Toronto, Canada, on April 8-12, 1995.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
