CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-95-,51
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE ASSISTANT
FIRE CHIEF TO ATTEND THE NATIONAL FIRE ACADEMY
IN EMMITTSBERG, MARYLAND ON JUNE 12-23,1995;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
Whereas, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the City of Tamarac to authorize training in fire department
management for the Assistant Fire Chief; and
Whereas, the Assistant Fire Chief is in the third year of the four-year Executive
Fire Officer Program; and
Whereas, the Assistant Fire Chief Paul Forsberg has requested permission to
attend the National Fire Academy, Emmitsburg, Maryland, from June 12,1995 to June
23, 1995; and
Whereas the total cost for attending the National Fire Academy is estimated to
be One Hundred Eighty Dollars($180.00); and
Whereas, the Fire Chief and the City Manager hereby recommend approval,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
5EQTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
resolution.
SECTION 2: The Assistant Fire Chief is authorized to attend the National Fire
Academy in Emmittsberg, Maryland, June 12, 1995 to June 23, 1995.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section , other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not effect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
