CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-95- 73
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, SELECTING TAMARAC'S
VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE FOR THE
BROWARD LEAGUE OF CITIES FOR 1995; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Broward League of Cities to confirm yearly
Tamarac's voting delegate and alternate prior to their annual election meeting in
April; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it
to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of Tamarac to have an
elected official as a voting delegate on the Broward League of Cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
ACTION 2: That the City Manager recommends selection of a voting
delegate and alternate on the Broward League of Cities.
SECTION_ 3: That Mayor Norman Abramowitz is hereby elected as
the voting delegate and Vice Mayor Irving K=� is hereby elected as the
alternate.

SECTION 4,� All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION -IL This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.

Voting Delegate and Alternates
it is the policy of the Broward County League of Cities to confirm
yearly your city's voting delegates and alternate prior to the
Annual Election Meeting in April. Upcoming municipal elections
may effect the status of these individuals. Article III, Sections
1 and 2 of the League By -Laws states:
"Each voting representative shall be a duly elected official
of a member city. Any questions regarding the eligibility of
such representatives shall be determined by the Board of Directors.
Each city shall appoint a voting representative and an alternate
to act in the absence of the voting representative to attend
and vote at any general membership meeting held where he or she
represents his or her city. The method of selection shall be
solely the decision of the member city. Written notices of the
appointments of voting representatives and/or alternates shall
be given to the Secretary of the League who shall thereupon
accredit the appointment in such manner as the Board of Directors
provides."
