A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA AMENDING CITY RESOLUTION
R-94-239 CHANGING THE FUNDING SOURCE GOVERNING
THE PURCHASE OF ONE VERMEER CHIPPER MODEL 1250
FROM ACCOUNT 001-407-539-643 ENTITLED "MACHINERY
AND EQUIPMENT" TO ACCOUNT 470-421-534-643 ALSO
ENTITLED "MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT;" PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to provide an effective
recycling program; and
WHEREAS, the Vermeer Chipper is being purchased in order to meet the recycling
needs of the City; and
WHEREAS, City recycling costs are appropriately paid from the Solid Waste
Disposal Fund, rather than the City's General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Disposal Fund has sufficient monies to pay for the
purchase of this Vermeer Chipper; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of this Vermeer Chipper requires the transfer of funds
from account 470-421-534-349 entitled "Solid Waste Recycling Costs" to account 470-421 -
534-643 entitled "Machinery and Equipment" for correct accounting purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.

Section 2: The funding source governing the purchase of the Vermeer Chipper
approved in City Resolution R 94-239 IS HEREBY AMENDED from account 001-407-539-
643 entitled "Machinery and Equipment" to account 470-421-534-643 entitled "Machinery
and Equipment."
Section 3: A transfer of funds in the amount of $18,539.50 from account 470-421-
534-349 entitled "Solid Waste Recycling Costs" to account 470-421-534-643 entitled
"Machinery and Equipment" IS HEREBY APPROVED for correct accounting purposes.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
adoption.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
ONE VERMEER CHIPPER MODEL 1250, FROM VERMEER
SOUTHEAST SALES AND SERVICE INCORPORATED,
UTILIZING PINELLAS COUNTY BID #932-05-78-B FOR
$18,539.50, APPROVING FUNDING FROM ACCOUNT 001-
407-539-643 ENTITLED "MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT,"
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
purchase of one Vermeer Chipper from Vermeer Southeast Sales and Service
Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, Pinellas County, Florida Bid Number 923-05-78-B was awarded to
Vermeer Southeast Sales and Service Incorporated for the contract price of $18,539.50;
and
WHEREAS, City Code§6-154 allows the Purchasing Officer the authority to join with
other units of government in cooperative purchasing when the best interest of the City
would be served; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Public Works Operation Manager and
the Purchasing Officer that the purchase be awarded to Vermeer Southeast Sales and
Service Incorporated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as

$18,539.50 IS HEREBY APPROVED to be purchased from Vermeer Southeast Sales and
