CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-95-_q5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA; APPROVING A WAIVER
TO THE SIGN CODE ORDINANCE REQUESTED BY
CHASE FEDERAL BANK OF FLORIDA FOR A CHANGE
OF COPY TO AN EXISTING GROUND SIGN LOCATED AT
6401 W. COMMERCIAL BOULEVARD AT THE
INTERSECTION OF 64 AVENUE AND COMMERCIAL
BOULEVARD, PROVIDING FOR CONDITIONS OF
APPROVAL; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE:
WHEREAS, Chase Federal Bank has requested a waiver from Code Chapter 18
governing signs for a change of copy to an existing ground sign at 6401 W. Commercial
Boulevard, at the intersection of 64 Avenue and Commercial Boulevard, with three lines of
copy and three logo colors on a non -registered logo ; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official, reviewed said waiver and recommends approval for
the change of copy to an existing ground sign and approval for the non -registered logo with
three colors; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida has the authority
pursuant to the Code Section 18-42 to grant waivers; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the
best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to grant this waiver.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of the Resolution.
SECTION 2; That the waiver to the Sign Code Chapter 18 requested by Chase Federal
Bank governing signs for a change of copy to an existing ground sign at 6401 W. Commercial
Boulevard, at the intersection of 64 Avenue and Commercial Boulevard, with three lines of
copy, with three logo colors on a non -registered logo is HEREBY APPROVED.

SECTION 3: Conditions of approval:
Must provide proof of federal registration of the logo to the City of Tamarac.
SECTION 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it
shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
