3 RESOLUTION NO. R-94--- /
4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO.
5 R-93--182 WHICH AWARDED BID #93-16 FOR A GAS
6 CHROMATOGRAPH; PROVIDING FOR REBID OF THIS
EQUIPMENT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
7 FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
8 WHEREAS, the administration advertised for bids for a
9 gas chromatograph under Bid #93-16; and
10 WHEREAS, bids were opened on December 1, 1993; and
11 WHEREAS, by the adoption of Resolution No. R-93-182 on
12 December 22, 1993, the City Council awarded Bid 93-16 to be
13 split between Tekmar Company ($24,067.) for the purge and
14 trap and autosampler portion of the system, and Perkin Elmer
15 ($28,829.98) for the remainder of the gas chromatograph
16 system in the total amount of $52,896.98; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac,
18 Florida, upon recommendation of staff, deems it to be in the
19 best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of
20 Tamarac to rescind Resolution R-93-182 and to authorize staff
21 to rebid this equipment.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
23 TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
24 • The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby
25 ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are
26 herebymade specific a p part of this resolution.
27 SECT,IQN 2: That Resolution R-93-182 awarding Bid 93-16
28 for a gas chromatograph system to Tekmar Company and Perkin
29 Elmer is hereby rescinded.
30 ,2FCTTQN 3: That the appropriate City staff are hereby
31 authorized to rebid the gas chromatograph system.
32 SECTION„ 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
33 conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
34 conflict.

SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or
application of this Resolution is held by any court of
competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in
part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.

SUBJECT: GAS CHROMATOGRAPH
By the adoption of Resolution R-94-11 on -January 26, 1994, the City
Council rescinded Resolution R-93-182 which awarded Bid 93-16 for a gas
chromatograph and authorized rebidding for this equipment. If you wish to
pursue solicitation for this equipment, please have new bid specifications sent to
me by Purchasing so we can proceed.
