CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94- /1-5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ACRYLATE
GROUT AND CHEMICALS FROM THE SOLE
SOURCE SUPPLIER, CUES, INC., IN THE
AMOUNT OF $16,438; APPROVING FUNDING
FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER 425-367-535-527
ENTITLED "CHEMICALS"; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the
best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to award the
purchase of acrylate grout and chemicals to Cues, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Cues, Inc. is the sole source authorized supplier of this acrylate
grout and chemicals; and
WHEREAS, City Code § 6-147 does not require competitive bidding for the
purchase of capital equipment available from only one (1) source; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Public Services Director and
Purchasing Officer that this purchase be made from Cues, Inc.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section _1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
resolution.
Section 2: That Cues, Inc. is the sole source authorized supplier of this
acrylate grout and chemicals. (letter of authorization attached as Exhibit A)
Section 3: That the purchase of acrylate grout and chemicals at the price of
$16,438 is hereby approved to be purchased from Cues, Inc. (Copy of Cues, Inc.
quote attached as Exhibit B)
i an 4: That the funds are to come from Account Number 425-367-535-
527 entitled "Chemicals."

Section 5: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of
this Resolution.
Section 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
