A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
AWARDING THE PURCHASE OF THE COMPONENTS OF
A GAS CHROMATOGRAPH, BID NO. 94-05 TO PERKIN
ELMER FOR THE GAS CHROMATOGRAPH AND DATA
SYSTEM IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,167.80 AND TEKMAR
CO. FOR THE PURGE AND TRAP CONCENTRATOR AND
AUTO SAMPLER IN THE AMOUNT OF $24,992.80, AS
JOINT BIDDERS; APPROVING FUNDING FROM ACCOUNT
NUMBER 425-363-533-648 "LABORATORY EQUIPMENT";
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale News/Sun Sentinal, a
newspaper of general circulation in Broward County, Florida on Sunday, April 17, 1994
and Sunday, April 24, 1994; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on Thursday, May 5, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Perkin Elmer Sales and Tekmar Co. are the lowest fully responsive
and responsible joint bidders; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the the Public Services Director and the
Purchasing Officer that this bid be awarded to Perkin Elmer Sales and Tekmar Co.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the Bid of Perkin Elmer Sales for the gas chromatograph and data
system in the amount of $30,167.80 and Tekmar Co. for the purge and trap concentrator
and auto sampler in the amount of $24,992.80, IS HEREBY APPROVED.

Section 3: That the funds are to come from Account Number 425-363-533-648
entitled "Laboratory Equipment".
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part of application or this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effectively immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
