RESOLUTION NO. R-94- /-2- Ll-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 1994 AEROTECH
240 LIGHT DUTY BUS FROM ATLANTIC BUS SALES, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE BROWARD COUNTY BID
AWARD #C0194120F; APPROVING FUNDING FROM
ACCOUNT NUMBER 335-550-572-640, "RECREATION
ACTIVITIES, VEHICLES"; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the
best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to award the purchase
of one 1994 Aerotech 240 Light Duty Bus to Atlantic Bus Sales; and
WHEREAS, Atlantic Bus Sales offered to extend the terms of the Broward County
Bid #C0194120F to the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, City Code §6-154 allows the Purchasing Officer the authority to join
with other units of government in cooperative purchasing when the best interest of the
City would be served; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Public Services Director and the
Purchasing Officer that the bid for the 1994 Aerotech 240 Light Duty Bus be awarded
to Atlantic Bus Sales.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the purchase of one 1994 Aerotech 240 at the Bid Price of
$39,229 is HEREBY APPROVED to be purchased from Atlantic Bus Sales.
Section 3: That the funds are to come from Account Number 335-550-572-640
funded by Gas Tax revenue and named Recreation Activities, Vehicles.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.

Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
