CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94-IeZ,5-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
AWARDING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 55 FOOT AERIAL
BUCKET UNIT, BID NO. 94-06 TO ALTEC INDUSTRIES,
INC. AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE FORD
CHASSIS F800 IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE OF
FLORIDA CONTRACT 070-700-94-1; APPROVING FUNDING
FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER 001 -407-539-640, "GROUNDS,
MAINTENANCE LANDSCAPE AND BEAUTIFICATION,
VEHICLES" PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale News/Sun Sentinal, a
newspaper of general circulation in Broward County, Florida on Sunday, April 17, and
Sunday, April 24, 1994; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on Thursday, May 5, 1994; and
WHEREAS, Altec Industries, Inc. is the lowest fully responsive and responsible
bidder; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the
best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac, to award the purchase
of one Ford Chassis F800 to Atlantic Ford Truck Sales; and
WHEREAS, Atlantic Ford Truck Sales will extend State of Florida Contract pricing
on one Ford Chassis F800 to the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, City Code 6-155 allows waiver of formal contract procedure for formal
contracts which are the subject of contracts with the State of Florida.
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Public Services Director and the
Purchasing Officer that the bid for the Aerial Unit be awarded to Altec Industries, Inc. and
that the Ford Chassis be purchased from Atlantic Ford Truck Sales.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the Bid of Altec Industries in the amount of $41,000 is HEREBY
APPROVED.

Section 3: That the purchase of one Ford Chassis F800 at the State Contract
price of $31,109.00 to be purchased from Atlantic Ford Truck Sales is HEREBY
APPROVED.
Section 4: That the funds are to come from Account Number 001-407-539-640
entitled, "Grounds, Maintenance Landscape and Beautification, Vehicles".
Section 5. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
Section 7: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
