CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94-130
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC APPOINTING NINE (9) REGULAR AND TWO
(2) ALTERNATE MEMBERS TO THE CONSUMER
AFFAIRS COMMITTEE; APPOINTING A CHAIRPERSON
OF THIS COMMITTEE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of appointing regular and
alternate members to the Consumer Affairs Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
,SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clause is hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and is hereby made a specific
part of this Resolution.
SECTION 2: That pursuant to Section 2-107 of the Code, the
following persons are HEREBY APPOINTED as regular members of the
Consumer Affairs Committee for terms to expire June 20, 1995:
Fred Adler
Barry Miller
Murray Schwartzman
M. "Mike" Chaikin
Winifred Ostrum
Bernie Simms
Faye Koch
Curt Rosenfeld
Burton Scholl
SECTIQNa That the following persons are HEREBY APPOINTED as
alternate members of the Consumer Affairs Committee for terms to
expire June 20, 1995:
Alvin Gelfon Janet Wood

,SECTION -A; That Bernie Simms is hereby appointed Chairperson of
the Consumer Affairs Committee.
SECT,I„Q.I 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is
held
by any
court
of
competent
jurisdiction
to be
unconstitutional
or
invalid, in
part
or
application,
it shall not
affect
the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SEGTIQN...,Z: This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon adoption.
