CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94 -/
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT IN
THE CASE OF CITY OF TAMARAC V.---MEDICS
AMBULANQE aERVICE, INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($60,000.00); AUTHORIZING
THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE ALL
ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, an
amicable
settlement
agreement
has
been reached
between the parties in
the case
of City of
Tamarac v.
Medics
Ambulance
Service. Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it
to be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of
Tamarac to enter into a settlement agreement in the case of City of
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:

SEQTION L
The foregoing
"WHEREAS"
clauses are
hereby
ratified and confirmed
as being true
and correct and
are hereby
made a
specific part of this resolution.
SE, TION 2: The City Council of the City of Tamarac authorizes
settlement in the case of City of Tamarac v. Medics„ ,Ambulance Servile,
bag_. in the amount of Sixty -Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00).
SECTION 3: The appropriate City officials are hereby
authorized to execute all documents associated with the settlement and
to dismiss the lawsuit upon payment to the City of Sixty Thousand Dollars
($60,000.00).
SECTION 4: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 51L If any clause, section, other part or application of
this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be
unconstitutional
or invalid, in part
or application,
it shall not affect the
validity of the
remaining portions or
applications of
this Resolution.

SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
