CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94- IV'Ll-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC
SERVICES DIRECTOR TO ATTEND THE WATER
ENVIRONMENT FEDERATIONS 67TH ANNUAL
CONFERENCE AND EXPOSITION (WEFTEC '94).
WHEREAS, the Water Environment Federation is the national organization that
provides continuing education for public sector water professionals through its national
annual conference; and
WHEREAS, the conference is in Chicago, Illinois on October 15-19, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Public Services Director, Vernon Hargray has requested
permission to attend at a total cost estimated to be One Thousand Six Hundred Forty
Dollars ($1,640.00); and
WHEREAS, it is important that the City employees in the field of water
management be knowledgeable and current on Federal Regulations, equipment,
techniques, training, etc. in the areas of wastewater treatment, collection systems,
biological nutrient removal, and biosolids and residuals management; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager that Mr. Hargray be
permitted to attend.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified
and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution:

SECTION 2: That the recommendation of the City Manager is hereby
approved.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part of application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part of application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or
applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption. PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this /d day of
1994.
