CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94-• 1-5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING A
WAIVER TO THE SIGN CODE ORDINANCE
REQUESTED BY UNIVERSITY PROFESSIONAL
CENTER FOR A GROUND SIGN LOCATED AT
6201-6269 UNIVERSITY DRIVE NEAR THE
INTERSECTION OF N.W. 61 STREET; PROVIDING
FOR CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE:
WHEREAS, University Professional Center has requested a waiver from Code
Chapter 18 governing signs; and
WHEREAS, the Building Official reviewed said waiver; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida has the authority
pursuant to the Code Section 18-42 to grant waivers; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to grant this
waiver.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing WHEREAS clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of the
Resolution.
SECTION 2: That the waiver to the Sign Code Chapter 18 requested by
University Professional Center to allow a ground sign for University Medical Center
at 6201-6269 University Drive to have three colors and three lines of copy is HEREBY
APPROVED.

SECTION 3: Conditions of approval:
IV on/E7
SECTION 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions or applications of this Resolution.
SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
