RESOLUTION NO. R-94-1-7
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A BID FOR THE
PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF ONE
STATIONARY WATER-COOLED ENGINE, BID #93-
17; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Fort Lauderdale
News/Sun Sentinel, a newspaper of general circulation in
Broward County, Florida, on Thursday, December 16, 1993 and
Thursday, December 23, 1993; and
WHEREAS, bids were opened on Monday, December 27, 1993;
and
WHEREAS, Reagan Equipment Co., Inc., is the lowest fully
responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the bid of Reagan Equipment Co., Inc., in
the amount of $34,596.00 for one stationary water-cooled
engine, is HEREBY APPROVED.
SECTION 2: That the funds are to come from Account #410
417-539-643 entitled Stormwater Management Account.
SECTION 3: That the appropriate City Officials are
hereby authorized to execute any and all contract documents in
connection with the awarding of the bid.
SECTION 4: This bid shall become effective seventy-two
(72) hours after the adoption of this Resolution.
SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 6: If any clause, section, other part or
application of this Resolution is held by any court of
competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in
part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.

BHP [d 1600 RPM with all the following accessories:
AIR CLEANER: Oil. bath.
AL'.1'ERNATOR: 12 volt, 42 arrlp.
BEARINGS: Heavy duty, replaceable precision type.
;'ARBURETOR: Natural gas, 2" (51mm) updraft, with gas pressure test
gauge, Murphy fuel shutoff valve supplied to positively stop fuel
flow, includes flex connector.
CONNECTING; RODS: Drop forged steel, rifle drilled.
COOLING SYSTEM: $adi.ator cooled with support brackets, hoses and
connections, fan guard provided for personnel protection.
CRANKSHAFT: Forged steel, seven main hearings, hardened journals,
dynarni.cally balanced.
CRANKSHAFT PULLEY: 8.31" (211mm) pitch diameter. Seven (7) (12.5
mm) grooves.
CYLINDERS: Removable wet cylinder liner;, special packing rings.
CYLINCIER HEARS: Interchangeable front or rear, valve -in -head type.
