CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94-170
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE COMPTROLLER
TO ATTEND THE GOVERNMENT FINANCE OFFICERS
ASSOCIATION (GFOA) NATIONAL SEMINARS, IN
ATLANTA, GEORGIA ON SEPTEMBER 25-29, 1994,
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the
best interest of the City of Tamarac to authorize training in cash management and
investments for the Comptroller of the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, the seminars this year are being held in Atlanta, Georgia from
September 25 through September 29, 1994; and
and
WHEREAS, the Comptroller, Karen Willard has requested permission to attend;
WHEREAS, the total cost for attending the GFOA seminars is estimated to be One
Thousand One Hundred Fifty One Dollars ($1,151.00); and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director and the City Manager hereby recommend
approval; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
SECTION 2: The Comptroller is authorized to attend the Government Finance
Officers Association (GFOA) seminars in Atlanta, Georgia.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution
is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 5:
