CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R 94- f 7=1-3-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
SAFETY SHOE FROM LEHIGH SAFETY SHOES, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH GSA CONTRACT GS-07F-8203B;
APPROVING FUNDING FROM VARIOUS ACCOUNTS
UNDER OBJECT CODE 475 ENTITLED SAFETY SHOES;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in the
best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to award the purchase
of safety shoes to Lehigh Safety Shoes; and
WHEREAS, Lehigh Safety Shoes has offered to extend the prices set forth in GSA
Contract GS-07F-8203B to the City of Tamarac; and
WHEREAS, City Code § 6-155 allows the Purchasing Officer to procure, without
following formal contract procedures, all supplies, materials and equipment which are the
subject of contracts with the state as set forth in F.S. section 287.051, or with the United
States Government.
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Purchasing Officer that safety shoes
be purchased from Lehigh Safety Shoes utilizing the pricing of GSA Contract GS-07F-
8203B.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the purchase of safety shoes is HEREBY APPROVED to be
purchased from Lehigh Safety Shoes.

Section 3: That the funds are to come from various Accounts under Object Code
475, entitled Protective Clothing, at a total cost of approximately $14,000.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption. -vk:i
