CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R 94- A540
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
TIRES FROM WALEEN TIRE COMPANY UTILIZING STATE
OF FLORIDA CONTRACT #863-000-92-1; APPROVING
FUNDING FROM ACCOUNT #503-703-591-302 ENTITLED
"TIRES", APPROXIMATE COST $17,500; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to award the
purchase of tires from Waleen Tire Company ; and
WHEREAS, State of Florida Contract #863-000-92-1 "Tires", was awarded to
Waleen Tire Company; and
WHEREAS, City Code §6-155 allows the waiver of formal contract procedures for
all supplies, materials and equipment which are the subject of contracts with the State;
and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Public Works Operations Manager and
the Purchasing Officer that the purchase be awarded to Waleen Tire Company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the purchase of tires for City vehicles at an estimated cost of
$17,500 is HEREBY APPROVED to be purchased from Waleen Tire, Inc.

Section 3: Funding for the purchase is budgeted under Account 503-703-591-302,
entitled "Tires" for $17,500.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict. .
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
