RESOLUTION NO. R-94-255
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE ASSISTANT FIRE
CHIEF AND A LIEUTENANT TO ATTEND THE FLORIDA TRAINING
IMPROVEMENT CONFERENCE IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA ON
JANUARY 9-13, 1995; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be
in the best interest of the City of Tamarac to authorize training in trends and current issues
in the fire service for the Assistant Fire Chief and a lieutenant; and
WHEREAS, the seminars this year are being held in Orlando, Florida from
January 9 through January 13, 1995; and
WHEREAS, Assistant Fire Chief Paul Forsberg and Lieutenant James Karcher have
requested permission to attend; and
WHEREAS, the total cost for attending the Florida Training Improvement
Conference is estimated to be Five Hundred Ninety Nine Dollars ($599.00); and
and

WHEREAS, the Fire Chief and the City Manager hereby recommends approval;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION It The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
The Assistant Fire Chief and a lieutenant are authorized to attend
the Florida Training Improvement Conference (FTIC) seminars in Orlando, Florida.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is
held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTIONS This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
