CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R 94- �25?
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
WATER METERS FROM PRECISION METERS
INCORPORATED, UTILIZING CITY OF HIALEAH BID
ENTITLED "MULTI -JET TYPE WATER METERS" AT AN
ESTIMATED COST OF $39,499.00, APPROVING FUNDING
FROM ACCOUNT 419-301-536-670 ENTITLED "METERS,
METER BOXES", $9,499.00 AND ACCOUNT 425-365-533-
670 ENTITLED "METERS, METER BOXES", $30,000.00,
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
purchase of water meters from Precision Meters Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, City of Hialeah Bid entitled "Multi -Jet Type Water Meters" was
awarded to Precision Meters Incorporated; and
WHEREAS, City Code §6-154 allows the Purchasing Officer the authority to join
with other units of government in cooperative purchasing when the best interest of the
City would be served; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Utilities Director and the Purchasing
Officer that the purchase be awarded to Precision Meters Incorporated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed
as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the purchase of water meters at an estimated cost of $39,499.00
IS HEREBY APPROVED to be purchased from Precision Meters Incorporated.

Section 3: Funding for the purchase is budgeted under Account 419-301-536-670
entitled "Meters, Meter Boxes" $9,499.00 and Account 425-365-533-670 entitled "Meters,
Meter Boxes" for $30,000.00.
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or
application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
Section 6: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
