RESOLUTION NO. R-94- 2- 7S'-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PARTICIPATION
IN THE PURCHASE OF FIRE HYDRANTS, VALVES AND
APPURTENANCES WITH ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA'S
CONTRACT NO. Y2-168 AT A MAXIMUM TOTAL COST OF
$20,000 APPROVING FUNDING FROM ACCOUNT 425-888-
533-672, ENTITLED "88-17 FIRE HYDRANT PROGRAM, "
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be
in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
purchase of fire hydrants, valves and appurtenances under Orange County, Florida's
Contract No. Y2-168, and;
WHEREAS, Orange County, items suitable for use by the City of Tamarac in its
distribution system and was awarded to Davis Meter and Supply Company and;
WHEREAS, City Code S6-154 allows the Purchasing Officer the authority to join
with other units of government in cooperative purchasing when the best interest of the
City would be served, and;
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Utilities Director and the Purchasing
Officer that the purchase be awarded to Davis Meter and Supply Company

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and
confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
resolution.
SECTION : That the purchase of Fire Hydrants, Valves and
Appurtenances at a maximum cost of $20,000 IS HEREBY APPROVED to be
purchased from Davis Meter and Supply Company.
SECTION 3: Funding for the purchase is budgeted under Account 425-
888-533-672, entitled "88-17 Fire Hydrant Program."
SECTION 4; All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part of application of this
Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or
invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or
applications of this Resolution.

ECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
