CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R 94- 271
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
ONE KODAK IMAGELINK MICRO -IMAGER 30, FROM
EASTMAN KODAK COMPANY, C/O JANE GROUP, INC.
UTILIZING COLLIER COUNTY BID NO. 94-103 AT A TOTAL
COST OF $20,150.00. THE MICRO -IMAGER WILL BE
PURCHASED FROM ACCOUNT NUMBER 001-112-519-641,
ENTITLED "OFFICE EQUIPMENT", PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
purchase of a Kodak Imagelink Micro -Imager 30 camera; and
WHEREAS, the Micro -Imager will be purchased from Eastman Kodak Company, c/o
Jane Group, Inc. utilizing Collier County Bid No. 94-103 at a bid price of $21,150.00. The
City will trade in the present equipment for a $1,000 credit. Total cost will be $20,150.00;
and
WHEREAS, City Cade§6-154 allows the Purchasing Officer the authority to join with
other units of government in cooperative purchasing when the best interest of the City
would be served; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Clerk and the Purchasing Officer
that the purchase be awarded to the Jane Group and that the City trade in the present
equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the purchase of One Kodak Imagelink Micro -Imager 30, IS
HEREBY APPROVED to be purchased from Eastman Kodak Company, c/o Jane Group,
Inc. at a total cost of 120,110.00

Section 3: Funding for the purchase is budgeted under Account Number 001-112-
519-641, entitled "Office Equipment".
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Micro -Imager Bid #94-103
PURPOSE The purpose of this bid is to seek competitive
bids for the purchase of Kodak Micro --Imager 30 or "Equal"(*)
AWARD The award will be to the lowest responsive bidder
on total Cost basis. The award will also take
into account dealer qualifications and references for the
product being offered. The selection committee will be the
sole judge as to whether an item is an approved "equal" where
"equal" or "equivalent" is indicated and the product most
meets the needs of the office of the clerk of courts.. The
Clerk of the Circuit Court reserves the right to reject any or
all bids for any reason.
*EQUAL PRODUCT MAY BE CONSIDERED:
MANUFACTURER'S NAME, BRAND NAME AND/OR MODEL NUMBER ARE USED IN THE
SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
OF LEVEL OF QUALITY, STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE AND DESIGN REQUIRED, AND
IS IN NO WAY INTENDED TO PROHIBIT THE BIDDING OF OTHER MANUFACTURER'S
ITEMS OF EQUAL OR SIMILAR MATERIAL. AN EQUAL OR SIMILAR PRODUCT MAY BE
BID PROVIDED THAT THE PRODUCT IS FOUND TO BE EQUAL OR SIMILAR IN
QUANTITY, STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE, DESIGN, ETC. TO THE ITEM SPECIFIED.
WHERE AN EQUAL OR SIMILAR IS BID, THE BID PROPOSAL MUST BE ACCOMPANIED
WITH One (1) COMPLETE SET OF FACTORY INFORMATION SHEETS
(SPECIFICATIONS, BROCHURES, ETC). THE CLERK OF COURTS SHALL BE SOLE
JUDGE OF EQUALITY OR SIMILARITY AND HIS DECISION SHALL BE FINAL.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS INTENDED TO
PROVIDE INFORMATION NECESSARY FOR BIDDERS TO SUBMIT PROPOSALS
TO COLLIER COUNTY CLERK OF COURTS FOR ONE (1) KODAK
MICRO -IMAGER 30 MEDIUM TO HIGH VOLUME IMAGE CAPTURE DEVICE OR
"EQUAL"(*).
FEATURES: Single or dual roll capability to meet record
retention, security and archival mandates.
LENSES: Precision turret lens system which can produce
extremely high -resolution images at 24X, 4OX, and
SOX reduction ratios.
TWO-SIDED
DOCUMENTS: Ability to capture single or two-sided documents
with one pass through the machine.
FILM: Ability to use 100 and 200 ft. rolls and
easy -loading film cassettes with on -board
microprocessor control and monitoring.
PRINTING: Ability to provide optimum output for photographic
and electronic retrieval systems.
FUTURE
GROWTH: Ability to be able to upgrade to advanced
features. Field upgradable to accommodate filming
and scanning.
SERVICE: To be able to provide local service based in
Southwest Florida. (Including Lee and/or Collier
County).
WARRANTY: 1 year warranty to be provided for all parts and
labor.

The undersigned, as bidder, hereby declares that he has
examined the Special Conditions and Specifications and
informed himself fully in regard to all conditions pertaining
to furnishing one Kodak Micro -Imager 30 or "Equal"(*). The
bidder further declares that the only persons, company or
parties interested in this Proposal or the Contract to be
entered into as principals are named herein. That this
Proposal is made without connection with any other person,
company or companies submitting a Bid or Proposals and it is
in all respects fair and in good faith, without collusion or
fraud.
The Bidder proposes and agrees, if this Proposal is accepted,
to contract with the Clerk and furnish in complete accordance
with the.attached specifications, according to the following

The service to be furnished by us is hereby declared and
guaranteed to be in conformance with the specifications of
the County.
The undersigned do agree that should this proposal be
accepted, to execute the form of contract and present the
same to the County Clerk of Courts for approval within
fifteen (15) days after being notified of the awarding of the
contract.
The undersigned do further agree that failure to execute and
deliver said forms of contract within ten (10) days, will
result in damages to the County.
