R-94-CZ78- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT AND EXECUTE ADDENDUM NO. 94-08 TO THE ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH HAZEN AND SAWYER PROVIDING DESIGN, PERMITTING, BIDDING, AND CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS OF LIFT STATION 2A1 FORCEMAIN; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY:-AND PROVIDING F R AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to accept and execute Addendum No. 94-08 to the Engineering Agreement with Hazen and Sawyer to furnish the design, permits, bid and construction documents for Lift Station 2A1 Forcemain; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Utilities Director that Addendum No. 94-08 providing for the design, permits, bid and construction documents for Lift Station 2A1 Forcemain between the City of Tamarac and Hazen and Sawyer be approved and executed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA: SECTION 1 : The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution. 6e fl 1 ri Temp. Reso. 6933 SECTION 2: That the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized to accept and execute Addendum No. 94-08 (attached hereto as Exhibit 1 and as shown in map form in Exhibit 2) with Hazen and Sawyer, Inc., providing for the design, permits, bid, and construction documents for Lift Station 2A1 Forcemain, for an amount not to exceed $36,000.00 to be funded from Account No. 432-888-533-67F, entitled 2A1 FORCE -MAIN REPLACEMENT. SECTION 3__. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 4s If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion or applications of this Resolution. It is understood that said services will be provided in accordance with our City Consulting Engineering Services Agreement with the City, as authorized by the City on February 23, 1994. Except as may be explicitly revised or amended below for application specifically to this Addendum, all provisions of said Agreement shall apply. Route survey will be provided by the City. Plan and profile drawings will be prepared utilizing AutoCADD. Plans will be drawn at a scale of 1 inch = 20 feet. Time of Performance(l) 120 Days 2 Geotechnical Services 120 Days A field exploratory program will be conducted consisting of up to ten standard penetration borings to a maximum depth of fifteen feet. 3 Prepare Permit Application 135 Days Hazen and Sawyer, P.C. shall prepare and submit a permit application to BCDNRP for review and attend a meeting with City/BCDNRP to discuss application. 4 Bidding Services -- Hazen and Sawyer, P.C. shall prepare bidding documents, entertain questions from bidders, attend a prebid conference, prepare and issue addenda, and prepare a recommendation for award for one contract and attend one City Council meeting.
