CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R 94- o?,77
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF
15 VEHICLES UTILIZING THE 1995 STATE OF FLORIDA
VEHICLE BID. VEHICLES WILL BE PURCHASED FROM
MAROONE CHEVROLET, DON REID FORD, GARBER
BUICK GMC, ATLANTIC FORD TRUCK SALES AND
FOUNTAIN MOTORS. TOTAL COST OF PURCHASE
$252,387. APPROVING FUNDING FROM ACCOUNTS 503-
888-591-65A, ENTITLED "VEHICLE REPLACEMENT
PROGRAM", 425-367-535-640, 001-223-526-640, 001-227-
524-640, 503-G03-591-640, 410-417-539-640 AND 00 1 -407-
539-640 VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS ENTITLED "VEHICLES"
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Tamarac, Florida deems it to be in
the best interest of the citizens and residents of the City of Tamarac to approve the
purchase of 15 vehicles utilizing the 1995 State of Florida Vehicle Bid; and
WHEREAS, City Code §6-155 allows the waiver of formal contract procedures for
all supplies, materials and equipment which are the subject of contracts with the State; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Purchasing Officer that the City
purchase the vehicles listed in Exhibit A from the vendors stated in Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this resolution.
Section 2: That the purchase of 15 vehicles at a cost of $252,387, IS HEREBY
APPROVED to be purchased from Maroone Chevrolet, Don Reid Ford, Garber Buick,
Atlantic Truck Sales and Fountain Motors.

Section 3: Funding for the purchase is budgeted under the following Accounts;
503-888-591-65A, entitled "Central Garage Services, Vehicles Replacement
Program",
425-367-535-640, entitled "Sewer Services, Vehicles",
001-223-522-640, entitled "Fire Control, Vehicles",
001-227-524-640, entitled "Protective Inspection, Vehicles",
001-407-539-640, entitled "Other Physical Environment, Vehicles",
410-417-539-640, entitled "Other Physical Environment, Vehicles",
503-G03-591-640, entitled "Central Garage Services, Vehicles".
Section 4: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 5: If any clause, section, other part or application of this Resolution is held
by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in part or application,
it shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.
Section 6: This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
