CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94- �(0
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION FOR THE CHARTER BOARD AT -
LARGE, DISTRICT 2 AND DISTRICT 4 POSITIONS;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, a General Election was scheduled to be held on
March 8, 1994, wherein the positions of the Charter Board
Districts 2,4 and At -Large for two-year terms were to be
filled; and
WHEREAS, Candidates for all three Charter Board
positions ran unopposed.; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: Sydney Smith, having run unopposed for the
office of Representative from District 2, has been duly
elected to that position for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 2: Arthur Ormont, having run unopposed for the
office of Representative from District 4, has been duly
elected to that position for a term of two (2) years.
. SECTION 3: Morton Burdman, having run unopposed for the
office of Representative At -Large, has been duly elected to
that position for a term of two (2) years.
SECTION 4: That Sydney Smith, Arthur Ormont and Morton
Burdman shall take office in accordance with the provisions
of Section 2-27 of the City Code.
SECTION 5: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 6-_ Jf any clause, section, other part or
application of this Resolution is held by any court of
competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in
part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.

kSECTION 7: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption. 14>
