2 CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
3 RESOLUTION NO. R-94- --3-7
4 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION FOR MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
5 DISTRICTS 2 AND 4; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN

7 WHEREAS, a General Election was held on March 8, 1994,
8 wherein the Electorate of the City of Tamarac was to choose
9 one candidate for the Office of Mayor, one candidate for the
10 Office of Council Representative from District 2 and one
11 candidate for the Office of Council Representative from
12 District 4; and
13 WHEREAS, the Broward County Canvassing Board has
14 canvassed the results of the machine voting and the absentee
15 ballots, and has certified such results to the City Clerk of
16 the City of Tamarac; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Clerk has reviewed the certification
18 from the County Canvassing Board and has presented her
19 findings to the City Council for a formal Certification and
20 Declaration of the results.
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
22 TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
23 SECTION 1-1 The following are the Certified results of
24 the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of Mayor
25 at the General Election held March 8, 1994:
26 Norman Abramowitz 6,496
27 Herman "Larry" Bender 1,163
Diane "Bernstein" Glasser 2,418

29 Norman Abramowitz, having received the highest number of
30 votes cast is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
31 Mayor of the City of Tamarac for a term of three (3) years.

SECTION .2_-, The following are the Certified results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of
Council Representative from District 2 at the General
Election held March 8, 1994:
Zeke Feldman 708
Gabriel "Gabe" Glantz 249
Larry Mishkin 1,246
Larry Mishkin, having received the highest number of
votes cast is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
Council Representative from District 2 of the City of Tamarac
for a term of three (3) years.
SECTTON • The following are the Certified results of
the votes received by candidates seeking the Office of
Council Representative from District 4 at the General
Election held March 8, 1994:
Bruce Hoffman 892
Milton Kern 658
Sharon Machek 970
Sharon Machek, having received the highest number of
votes cast is, therefore, declared to have been elected as
Council Representative from District 4 of the City of Tamarac
for a term of three (3) years.
SFQTTQN • All resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 5: If any clause, section, other part or
application of this Resolution is held by any court of
competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, in
part or application, it shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions or applications of this Resolution.

SECTION 6: This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
