CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA
RESOLUTION NO. R-94-�5-9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE FIRE CHIEF TO
ATTEND THE 8th ANNUAL GOVERNOR'S HURRICANE
CONFERENCE ON JUNE 7-8-9-10, 1994; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROVTDINC FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Governor of Florida is hosting the
Eighth Annual Governor's Hurricane Conference in Tampa
June 7, 8, 9, and 10th, 1994; and
WHEREAS, the Tamarac Fire Chief has substantial
responsibilities for Emergency Preparedness; and
WHEREAS, the seminar is the primary source of
r
information regarding hurricane responsibilities,
particularly changes that have been made since Hurricane
Andrew and the State's preparedness program; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Fire Department
budget and the total costs are not expected to exceed Six
Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($650.00); and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City
Manager that the Council authorize this overnight travel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses
are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and
correct and are hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
SECT„IQN 2= That the recommendation of the City
Manager is hereby approved.
zSECTTON 3: All resolutions or parts of
resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part
or application of this Resolution is held by any court of
competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECIION 5: This Resolution shall become
effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
