RESOLUTION NO. R-94- (g20
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TAMARAC, FLORIDA; AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE OF
THE FIRE CHIEF AND ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF AT THE
NATIONAL FIRE ACADEMY ON SEPTEMBER 19-30, 1994
AND JUNE 13-24, 1994, RESPECTIVELY, PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND
PROMIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Fire Chief and Assistant Fire Chief
have participated in the Executive Fire Officer Program
available at the National Fire Academy, whose purpose it
is to train fire professionals at the executive level and
is generally recognized as the leader in the executive
development program for fire officers; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Government pays all costs
except travel; and
WHEREAS, it is expected the total cost for each
officer will not exceed One Hundred Seventy Dollars
($170.00) each for the two week stay; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City
Manager that the overnight travel for the Fire Chief and
Assistant Fire Chief be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF TAMARAC, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses
are hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and
correct and aTe hereby made a specific part of this
Resolution.
SECTJON 2: That the recommendation of the City
Manager is hereby approved.
SECTION 3: All resolutions or parts of
resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.

SECTION 4: If any clause, section, other part
or application of this Resolution is held by any court of
competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid,
in part or application, it shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions or applications of this
Resolution.
SECTION 5: This Resolution shall become
effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
